With so many billionaires lined up behind the Trump and the GOP too frightened to stand up, how do we get back to a better place in our politics?
It will take a lot of hard work to overcome the billionaires, but as we have seen, they can’t always buy elections.
Demonstrations: if enough people show up, nationwide, it will give the fascist regime pause, and also encourage the GOP to stand up to Trump, knowing that they may well get defeated in their next election.
The more people, the better, in every state.
Red states have the most leverage now because of the 51% GOP standing in the Senate and the House.
Donations: now that we see how deeply our Democracy is threatened, donating is critical. But where should you send your dollars?
Look for upcoming races in battleground states for Senate/House races.
Look for state races where control of state houses will determine gerrymandering and voter suppression.
Look for pro-democracy PACs and voter mobilization efforts.
Support anti-Trump legal advocacy to hold him accountable. There are MANY groups suing the Trump regime for breaking the law.
Support grass-roots groups that are working to counter the lies and hatred.
Remember that every state is really purple: blue states are 55-45 blue. Red states are 55-45 red.
Which means there are huge numbers of anti-Trump people in every state, so they need to be encouraged to keep working.
And with Trump+Musk creating so much damage to Veteran services, National Park, Social Security, Science and Research, they are providing huge incentives for people to finally give up their support for Trump.
The deeply racist faction will never stop supporting him, but people who were concerned about inflation or immigration may now see that something else, something very evil, is taking place.
