In the end, it may turn out that the 8 years of turning against every option for stemming climate change may be the single greatest tragedy of the Trump presidencies.
Climate change is a difficult issue: the United States is a huge contributor to putting more CO2 into the atmosphere, but even if we were to totally convert toa carbon-neutral way of life the rest of the countries on Earth would also need to change.
So pulling out of the Paris Agreement is clearly a bad mistake, unless you believe the lies that the energy companies have been putting out for decades.
Trump’s new policy is “Drill, baby, drill,” a motto taken from John McCain (who left word that Trump should not be allowed to speak at his funeral).
Trump’s deeply angry and ignorant energy policy will help send our future generations into a climate with more fires, hurricanes, droughts, and the human tragedies that stem from climate change, such as desire to leave places that are no longer habitable because of heat or rising ocean levels.

WHAT WE CAN DO:
The only way to deal with the terrible decisions on energy that Trump is making is to take away as much power from him as possible, by getting the House and Senate out of the hands of GOP leaders who simply lack the courage to stand up to Trump.
Those of you in red states have the most leverage!
